Abyssal Labs was originally conceived as a series of "dark ambient" soundscapes specifically designed to accompany yoga and contemplation practice. The original series ran from 2012 to 2014. While I don't think the pieces served the function they were designed for, they nonetheless stand up as work in their own right. I've recently revived the series, shorn of its "yoga-phonic" intent, with a long, single-movement piece, "Ghosts of the Kemp Town Branch Line". The version here is a pre-mastered preview; I will be releasing it formally through Bandcamp later in 2024.
